Holy Week in Malta
Date: 2nd - 5th April
Location: Churches all across the Islands
Holy Week celebrations will take place across the islands: on Maundy Thursday, most churches will open for the traditional seven visits; on Good Friday, a 3 pm Mass will be held alongside various processions; on Holy Saturday, most churches will celebrate Mass around 8 pm; and on Easter Sunday, some villages will host the running of the statue along with Easter processions.

Festa Frawli
Date: 12th April
Location: Mgarr
The annual Strawberry Festival is organised by the local council with the participation of the local agricultural community, selling countless amounts of freshly picked strawberries. Other products made from strawberries are sold like smoothies, jam, milkshakes, gateaux and cakes. Local folk groups offer their talents to entertain the crowds.

Malta International Fireworks Festival
Date: 20th - 30th April
Location: 22nd, 25th, 30th in Valletta & 26th in Nadur Gozo
The Malta International Fireworks Festival is a very popular event in Malta. A spectacular fireworks show that will surely leave you with unforgettable memories.
Various local and international fireworks factories participate in presenting impressive shows of their capabilities. Fireworks have been a very long tradition for the Maltese since the time the Knights of St. John came to Malta in 1530, where they introduced fireworks, which became an integral part of our traditions.
